If you’re coming from the east, you can take I-70 to Grand Junction and then head south on Highway 50 to Gunnison, where you can pick up Highway 135 north to Almont. If you’re coming from the north or south, you can take I-25 to Denver and then head west on Highway 285 to Buena Vista, where you can pick up Highway 50 west to Gunnison, and then Highway 135 north to Almont.
Flying:
The closest airport to Almont is Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport, which is about 30 miles to the south of Almont. From the airport, you can rent a car and drive to Almont, or you can arrange for a shuttle or taxi to take you directly to your destination. Alternatively, you can fly into Denver International Airport, which is about 200 miles to the east of Almont, and then rent a car or take a bus to Gunnison, where you can pick up Highway 135 north to Almont.
