As a second home-owner turned local, I have intimate experience with high-end inventory and the challenges and joys of buying and owning a home in Crested Butte. I look forward to using my knowledge to serve my clients.

I was born and raised in Mississippi—the state known for its hospitality. Southern heritage, culture and history are all part of my background. I then met and married my husband while attending Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. He introduced me to his passion for the Colorado mountains and rivers, and that passion soon became my own. We were raft guides during and after college for Noah’s Ark Rafting in Buena Vista. We vowed to return to Colorado after graduate school. That dream took us many years to accomplish but we eventually did!

After college, I completed a graduate program at Baylor University where I earned a doctorate in philosophy in Victorian literature and reading methodology. I have always studied and loved art of all kinds, including reading about architectural and environmental philosophies. Becoming a realtor after a career as a professor allows me to use the skills of research, creativity, and customer service for my customers.

In Texas, my husband and I studied and established our careers, and I consider myself an adopted Texan. In 2010, we started vacationing in Crested Butte, and we immediately felt at home here. We bought a second home shortly after. Our second-home-owner passion quickly turned into a permanent move. We have been avid members of the Crested Butte community for the past 5 years. We have four children in the local community school here, and we love being a part of this wonderful community!
