Matt Wood

Matt is new to Crested Butte. He and Michelle fell in love with Crested Butte and the Gunnison Valley on their first visit in 2021. Over his 12 year career in Dallas real estate, Matt has worked with Allie Beth Allman & Associates, Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s, and Compass. In his last year with Compass, he led the Lakewood office which experienced rapid growth in East Dallas. His most recent accomplishment was the creation of the SCOUT RE brand in Dallas, a boutique brokerage built around giving clients the highest level of service.

Matt is relentless in its pursuit of excellence, and works tirelessly to ensure a positive experience for clients and colleagues. He looks to build a successful business born out of a passion for Crested Butte and the surrounding area, his deep connections to the Dallas real estate market, and his ability to connect with people in a natural and meaningful way.

He is a dog lover, and enjoys fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and being outdoors. Matt and Michelle have five boys between them. Luke (graduate of the University of Kansas), Grant (graduate of Baylor University), Christian (Junior at the University of Oklahoma), Walker (Sophomore at the University of Texas at Arlington), and Sean (Freshman at Chapman University).
